Borderline objects

I have come to notice more and more a longing for objects that can connect me to the soul. By balancing the edge between the concrete and the symbolic/metaphoric I would like to invite audiences to enter and explore their inner landscapes. To overcome fear, cross the borders and allow yourself to wander and ponder the terrains vagues of your soul. The in-between spaces that have not been colonised by neither reason nor emotion.

Again and again I find myself exploring these fields of in-between-ness. The beauty and fascination of objects in the Terrain Vague between nature and culture. It started out as a curiosity about natural obejects that happen to look like they were crafted by a conscious mind. And cultural objects, manmade stuff, which has been surrendered to the vicissitudes of natural forces. Always I am curious about objects decayed by wind – water – sun – rot – animals – insects – fire – pressure. Or simply time.
